Download before your visit

Point content can include text, narration, images, videos, and AR. Download it on Wi-Fi before you go.

  1. Open Downloads from the Points page or Settings.
  2. Choose the points you want, or choose all, then tap Download.
  3. Wait until the download is complete. The content stays on this device.

How to use AR at a point

Download the point content first. Tap Start AR to open the camera and allow camera access when asked.

  1. Tap Start AR and allow camera access.
  2. Point your phone at the floor or a table. Move it slowly until the placement marker appears.
  3. Look toward the place where you want the content and tap Place content.
  4. Move around to look at the panels. Tap Reset AR to place the content again.

What AR needs

AR uses your camera and motion sensors to place digital panels in the real world. It works best on a mobile device with a supported browser.

  1. Use a well-lit space so the camera can see the floor or table.
  2. Point at a surface with visible detail, such as tiles, wood grain, or a textured table.
  3. Move slowly and give the camera a few seconds to understand the space.

Stay safe while using AR

AR uses the camera while you look around. Do not walk or use it near traffic, stairs, water, or other hazards.

  1. Stand still while placing the content.
  2. Check your surroundings before moving and keep your attention on where you are going.
  3. Stop using AR if you feel dizzy or uncomfortable.

If AR does not work

Try these steps before leaving the AR page.

  1. Camera does not open: allow camera access in the browser settings, then reload the page.
  2. No placement marker: move slowly over a brighter floor or textured table. Avoid blank, dark, shiny, or glass surfaces.
  3. Content moves or disappears: hold the phone still, keep the content in view, or tap Reset AR and scan again.
  4. AR is unavailable: use a recent mobile browser such as Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android. Camera view may still work, but content may not stay fixed to the room.
